I am a Greenville, SC native currently living in Mountain View, CA. I'm married to Matt, an insanely smart software engineer who can solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. I have a master's degree in Piano Performance and love bringing people together through music. I'm a coffee lover, a wannabe swimming enthusiast, and a Christ follower. I believe that we fulfill our God-given callings by pursuing our interests passionately and serving others through them for His glory.
welcome
I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. I'm a pastor's daughter and I was a homeschool kid, so I can be a little quirky. But I think all of us are a little quirky in our own way! I like to think my awkwardness helps my clients feel like they can be themselves (that's what my friends tell me at least).
Friendship is incredibly important to me. I've had 2 of the same best friends my entire life (seriously), and I've been blessed to add a lot more over the years. Growing up, you could find me playing the piano, doing schoolwork two grades above me or being bossy to everyone. Yeah, I was that kid. Thankfully as I grew older I found healthier ways to utilize my natural tendency to lead.
I got my first summer job at 15 as a lifeguard. My family are huge swimming nerds, so later I became a head swim coach too. I coached for 6 years and loved it! I bought my first DSLR camera in 2008 and started photographing seniors and sports events. It wasn't too long before I discovered the joys of wedding photography.
I attended a private liberal arts university in Greenville and obtained a B.M. in Church Music and a M.M. in Piano Performance. I absolutely LOVED my time at college and grad school. Music was a regular part of my life, whether it was in choirs, chamber groups, attending concerts, or studying for music history tests.
There was a time when I was working 3 jobs at once: swim coaching, piano teaching, and being a wedding photographer, all while juggling grad school, too! In 2016 I met the love of my life and I quickly learned that I couldn't do everything!! After our wedding I slowed down to focus solely on photography.
On Thanksgiving Day, 2018, Matt accepted a position at a new job in Silicon Valley. Neither of us had ever lived more than 30 minutes away from our families, so our worlds were about to change immensely! On December 26 we packed up just our clothes and some photo albums and hopped on a plane to our new home in California.
There's nothing more important to me than family. Matt works a typical 9-5 schedule, and I knew I wanted to explore California with him and have my weekends free. I also wanted to prepare for the future and pursue work that allowed for more flexibility. So after a few months of preparation, I transitioned into Private Photo Editing and I couldn't be happier!

Matt and I met at a community choir in 2016. I didn't know this, but I'd actually met him briefly a year earlier at a wedding I photographed! It wasn't until the next year when he caught my eye at the choir that we started talking! We found out we had several mutual friends and we'd even taken piano from the same teacher growing up. We fell in love quickly and got engaged at Lake Jocassee on 5-13-17. We got married two months later on 7-17-17 on Lake Carolina in Columbia. We chose our date because one of my best friends was moving to Uganda on 7-18, and that happened to be the only day we were free before then. The palindrome was a happy accident!
My favorite movie is Finding Nemo.
You'll find my hair in a top knot 90% of the time.
In 2016 I went on an epic road trip with my friend,
Ashley. We went coast to coast and traversed 25
states in 5 weeks.
I love watching cooking shows and trying new foods, but my cooking skills are minimal.
Matt has 7 siblings and 20 nieces and nephews!
I have a younger sister who's 10 years
younger than me and an older brother
who has one adorable curly-haired son!
Matt and I are both Star Wars and Star Trek nerds.
The scar on my chin is from a bicycle accident
when I was 12!
I used to be a beach girl but am becoming more of
a mountains lover.
